CIS of Leon In Our Community
CIS of Leon County dedicates itself to those children in danger of "falling through the cracks" without community support.
For these young people, succeeding in school, graduating and preparing for life can seem impossible.
We identify and help a specific group of students needing assistance in academic areas such as attendance, discipline, achievement, promotion and more.
The results achieved by CIS programs are remarkable. Students participating in CIS projects have increased promotion and graduation rates, improved attendance, fewer discipline referrals and improved FCAT scores.

In 1989, the state office was started with a grant from the Bell South Foundation. With that humble beginning–one school in one county–CIS grew to serve hundreds of thousands of students over the course of the past 25 years.
